Short Description:  Awarded to full-time students enrolled in their last semester of a Ministry approved post-secondary program who demonstrate leadership in their community and/or program.
Criteria:
  • Must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, Protected Person.
  • Must be an Ontario Resident.
  • Must be enrolled full-time in the last semester of any Ministry approved program.
  • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Must demonstrate a minimum financial need.
  • Must provide a 250 – 450-word summary:
  • Tell us about how you have demonstrated leadership in your community and/or program.  
  • How did your involvement make a difference in your community and/or program?
  • Students cannot receive more than one scholarship in the Leadership Question category.
  • Students cannot receive more than one CCAA scholarship within an academic year.
  • Second Career, WSIB and International students are ineligible for this scholarship.
  • Preference will be given to applicants who are children/family members of living or deceased Centennial College Alumni. Children of Centennial College staff who are alumni cannot receive the CCAA Graduating Student Scholarship as tuition is reimbursed by the college.
        Centennial College Alumni Association - Entrance Scholarship
        # and $ Value of award(s): 2 x $2,500
        School:  College Wide, All Schools
        Program/Course:  All Ministry approved post-secondary programs
        Semester/Year:  Semester 1
        Short Description:  Awarded to full-time students enrolled in the first semester of a Ministry approved post-secondary program who demonstrate leadership in their community and/or program.
        Criteria:
        • Must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, Protected Person.
        • Must be an Ontario Resident.
        • Must be enrolled full-time in the first semester of any Ministry approved program.
        • Must demonstrate a minimum financial need of $2,500.00.
        • Must provide a 250 – 450-word summary: Tell us about how you have demonstrated leadership in your community and/or program. How did your involvement make a difference in your community and/or program?
        • Students cannot receive more than one scholarship in the Leadership Question category.
        • Students cannot receive more than one CCAA scholarship within an academic year.
        • Second Career, WSIB and International students are ineligible for this scholarship.
        • Preference will be given to applicants who are children/family members of living or deceased Centennial College Alumni. Children of Centennial College staff who are alumni cannot receive the CCAA Entrance Scholarship as tuition is reimbursed by the college.
        Notes: Recipients will receive $1,250 in their first semester, and will receive a second installment of $1,250 in their second semester if a minimum grade average of 3.0 is achieved.
        CCAA - Jackie McVeigh Athletic Entrance, Alumni Associations Scholarships
        # and $ Value of award(s): 2 Scholarship for students valued at $500.00 each.

        Program/Course:  All Ministry approved post-secondary programs
        Semester/Year:  Semester 1
        Award type: Application
        Short Description:  Awarded to two first-year students who have graduated from an Ontario High School and are currently enrolled full-time in a Ministry approved post-secondary program and are members of the Centennial College Varsity who have demonstrated that their involvement in sports has contributed to personal growth. Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
        Criteria:
        • Have graduated from an Ontario high school within the last twelve months
        • Possess a minimum 60% average in your high school graduating year
        • Provide your complete high school transcript of your marks
        • Provide one letter of reference from your sport coach outlining your contributions to the sport you participate in
        • Write an essay on the next page ‘How my involvement in sports has contributed to my personal growth (not to exceed 500 words)
        • Be accepted and subsequently enroll fulltime in a Ministry approved program for the academic year of study
        • Must be a Centennial Varsity student
        • Cannot be the recipient of any other scholarship valued at $1,000 or more
        CCAA - Jackie McVeigh Athletic, Alumni Association Scholarship
        # and $ Value of award(s): 2 Scholarship for students valued at $500.00 each.
        School:  College Wide, All Schools
        Program/Course:  All Ministry approved post-secondary programs
        Semester/Year:  Any semester (must be a current student)
        Award type: Application
        Short Description:  Awarded to two second or third-year students who previously received the Jackie McVeigh Athletic Entrance Scholarship and are currently enrolled full-time in their program and has maintained the academic and athletic standards required to receive this award again.
        Criteria:
        • Must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, Protected Person.
        • Must be an Ontario Resident.
        • Must be enrolled full-time in the last semester of any Ministry approved program.
        • Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
        • Must demonstrate a minimum financial needs
        • Provide one letter of reference from your sport coach outlining your contributions to the sport you participate in
        • Must provide a 250 – 450-word summary: ‘How my involvement in sports has contributed to my personal growth (not to exceed 500 words)
        • Must be a Centennial Varsity student
        • Cannot be the recipient of any other scholarship valued at $1,000 or more
